Caltrans Active Transportation Plan for the Central Coast (District 5) -Public Review period CLOSED March 9, 2021
The draft Caltrans District 5 Active Transportation Plan public comment period closed on March 9, 2021.
Caltrans District 5 (Central Coast) provided the draft District 5 Active Transportation Plan for public review February 8 - March 9, 2021. The public review period is now closed. Public input is being reviewed and the plan is being revised and finalized. This Plan reflects over two years of work by Caltrans staff, numerous stakeholders throughout the region, and our consultant team, led by Toole Design. The Plan identifies bicycle and pedestrian needs on, along and across the State Transportation Network in the Central Coast, building off of the statewide plan Toward an Active California.
The Plan used a data driven approach analysis and incorporated stakeholder and public input, with a focus on equity, safety, mobility, and preservation of the current transportation network. The Plan includes a list of location-based needs and a companion Story Map.
